On January 22, 2025, the esteemed Corporate Knights, based in Toronto, Canada, unveiled its highly anticipated Global 100 ranking, spotlighting the world’s 100 most sustainable corporations. Among these leaders in sustainability, Nio secured an impressive 13th place out of 8,359 global companies evaluated—a notable jump of 37 spots compared to the previous year. This achievement solidifies Nio's position as the preeminent automotive company on the list, demonstrating its commitment to sustainability on a global scale.
Understanding the Corporate Knights Global 100
The Global 100 list, first established by Corporate Knights in 2005, serves as a critical benchmark in assessing corporate sustainability. The assessment rated companies with revenues exceeding $1 billion, measuring them against 25 key performance indicators (KPIs) including sustainable revenue, sustainable investments, employee management, and supplier performance. Notably, Nio excelled, recording perfect scores in sustainable revenue and two additional KPIs, marking its best performance since entering the rankings three years ago.

Beyond numbers, Nio's actual impact is evident through initiatives like the Clean Parks program, a global effort focused on ecological conservation.
